About Us
United for the Unsheltered was founded in Kalamazoo in February of 2022 by a band of merry misfits who saw that there was an immediate need to help the unhoused of Kalamazoo County.
Our diverse team is made up of community members, activists, and volunteers who are united by a shared vision: to provide compassionate, effective support for our unhoused neighbors.
Our journey began with a simple but profound commitment: to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most. Since founding our organization, we’ve been dedicated to addressing the root causes of unshelteredness by offering practical solutions that provide not just immediate relief but also long-term hope and stability.
